Rebeca Salmones

Hola, I'm Rebeca

I'm a qualified, native Spanish teacher from Spain, based in Copenhagen. Languages are a real passion of mine, though it wasn't something I knew about myself as a child. It grew over time.

I first came to Copenhagen years ago, on an exchange during my bachelor's. I liked the city so much that I always knew I'd come back. I did in 2023, and since then I've focused on teaching Spanish to Danes and expats here. After years of teaching, what I always dreamed of was stepping away from the big academies and working in a way that felt natural and personal.

That's why I teach in small groups. I believe communication is where language learning really takes shape, and that includes grammar. When you have the space to speak, grammar stops being an abstract set of rules and becomes something you use and correct as you go. My classes are structured and cover everything properly, but they're built so you're always putting the language to work, not just studying it.

I'm also a creative person. I love painting, making things by hand, and, of course, creating my own teaching materials. That's why I use my own method: resources I've built to make learning Spanish enjoyable, but always ordered and structured, following the Instituto Cervantes curriculum and the CEFR levels used across Europe.

I have a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, which gives all of this a solid foundation. But what I care about most is that you leave every class feeling like you actually spoke Spanish, and understood why it works the way it does.
